火狐Android專用啟動器、數週內開放下載

謀智(Mozilla)攻進對手陣營，5日在美國舊金山發表Android作業系統專用的火狐啟動器「Firefox Launcher for Android」(見附圖)，可整理智慧手機內App，取代智慧機原本的桌面螢幕，預計數週內開放下載。

TechCrunch和Mashable報導，謀智和以色列新創公司EverythingMe合作，整合EverythingMe的上下文搜尋引擎，推出火狐啟動器。新啟動器頁面上有預測工具列，會依據時間、地點、瀏覽紀錄，秀出用戶最可能使用的4個App。舉例而言，早上會秀出氣象、新聞App，下午會變成行事曆、工作或美食App。啟動器內有智慧資料夾可將App分門別類整理，並可按照搜尋關鍵字、篩選App。

EverythingMe共同創辦人Ami Ben David表示，希望不用開口，就能知曉用戶需求。謀智去年推出火狐作業系統和專用智慧機，鎖定新興市場，盼搶下一席之地。

theverge.com去年7月報導，謀智共同創辦人兼技術長Brendan Eich指出，火狐作業系統瞄準的是功能手機(feature phone)市場。他說，Firefox OS手機硬體只需要推動Gecko網頁瀏覽器排版引擎即可，而Android手機硬體則是得同時滿足Android Kernel、Dalvik以及WebKit。
