「美國運輸安全局」6日宣布一項暫行命令，飛往俄國的班機，旅客禁止隨身攜帶任何液體、膠質物品、噴霧劑上機，但可以放在託運的行李中，如果屬於處方藥，也准許隨身。2001 年911恐怖攻擊後，有一連串在客機上引爆爆炸物的未遂陰謀，手提行李中不得含有液體與牙膏一直是美國各航空公司的標準嚴格規定，但6日的行政命令公布前，還准許少量攜帶。6日的禁令，是針對俄國索契冬奧的安全顧慮而發。
